Sharing Moments

Copy the link

Updated

Get a shareable link to paste anywhere.

How to copy a moment link

  1. Open the share sheet on a moment.
  2. In Row 2, tap Copy.
  3. A small toast appears: Link copied.
  4. Paste anywhere — text, email, notes, browser, anywhere your phone can paste.

What the link looks like

Currently's moment links are short and predictable:

Moment link format. cntly.club/m/{id} — for example: cntly.club/m/abc123xyz

These links work in any browser, on any phone. Tap from the Currently app and it opens the moment in-app. Tap from a browser and it opens a clean web preview page.

When Copy is useful

  • Pasting in an email to a coworker
  • Posting in a forum or Reddit comment
  • Adding to a Notion / Google Doc as reference
  • Putting in your bio or LinkedIn as a portfolio item
  • Sharing to an app that's not in the system share sheet

FAQs — Copy link

Q. How long does the copied link stay in my clipboard?

A. It stays until you copy something else. Standard phone clipboard behaviour.

Q. Can I shorten the link further?

A. Currently links are already short. If you want even shorter, use a third-party URL shortener like bit.ly, but the original cntly.club/m/... is usually short enough.

Q. Will the link still work if the poster makes their moment Private?

A. If the poster changes their moment from Public to Private after you copied the link, the link still works for you (you saw it before), but new viewers who tap the link may see "This moment is private." — depending on whether they follow the poster.

Q. Can I share my own moment's link?

A. Yes — open your own moment, tap the share icon, then Copy. Same link, same behaviour.

Q. Does Currently track who clicks my shared link?

A. Currently tracks aggregate metrics (how many people viewed via the link) but not personal identities. The poster sees a view count, but not who specifically clicked from the link.
