The place card
Each place in the feed has a rich card layout:

|---|---|
| Place name + address | e.g., McDonald's — Prahlad Nagar, Ahmedabad |
| Distance badge | Green diamond with the distance from you (e.g., 3.2 km From you) |
| LIVE HERE indicator | If friends are at this place right now, a small LIVE HERE strip appears with their avatars |
| Photo grid | 3–4 photos of the place |
| Category tag | E.g., Restaurant, Cafe, Sports |
| Visit/coin counts | Like 80 ⚡ 1000 — how many visits and total coins earned at this place by the community |
| Action buttons | Call, Address (open Maps), Website, About |

Empty places (no visits yet)
Some places haven't been checked into yet — they show a minimalist card:

FAQs — Searching for places
Q. Why don't I see any places near me?
A. Most likely you haven't given Currently location permission. See Empty states and troubleshooting for the Location access required state and how to fix it.
Q. How is the distance calculated?
A. Currently uses your phone's GPS to calculate the straight-line distance to each place. It's a rough indicator — actual driving/walking distance may be longer.
Q. Why does the same place sometimes appear twice?
A. Some places have multiple branches (e.g., two Mcdonald's locations). They appear as separate cards with different distances. Look at the distance and address to tell them apart.
Q. What does '80 ⚡ 1000' mean on a place card?
A. 80 is the total number of visits checked in by Currently users. ⚡ 1000 is the total coins earned at this place. Both are community signals — popular places have higher numbers.
Q. How do I add a new place?
A. If a place isn't in the database, you can use Tag Place → Select Current Location during a moment post (see Creating a Moment help). Currently then registers the place from your GPS coordinates and address.
