Every Moment you share on Currently has its own visibility setting that you control before posting. There are three visibility options available:
- Public — anyone can view
- Close Friends — only people in your Close Friends list
- Private — only you can see it
Three Layers of Control
Your visibility is determined by three layers:
- Your profile visibility
- Individual Moment visibility
- Map visibility if location is included
According to the guide, "You choose visibility every time" you post, contrary to common misunderstandings that Moments are public by default.
Moment-Level Privacy Always Wins
Important to note: your Moment-level privacy settings remain effective regardless of your overall profile status. Even if your profile is public, Private Moments stay private.
No Impact on Rewards
Additionally, choosing a private visibility setting doesn't affect streaks, coins, or badges — you still earn rewards across all visibility levels.
You're Always in Control
You retain complete control and can delete any Moment anytime if you change your mind. The platform emphasizes that "you decide the audience — always."
