Every Moment on Currently allows you to set visibility before posting. You have three privacy options:

Public Moments

Public Moments make content visible to anyone and may appear in public feeds and on the map. Choose this when you're comfortable with broad visibility.

Close Friends Moments

Close Friends Moments restrict viewing to users on your Close Friends list only. As stated in the guide, these "do not appear in public feeds" and are ideal for personal updates shared with a small circle.

Private Moments

Private Moments are visible only to you, though they still count toward streaks and rewards. Use this for personal journaling or check-ins you prefer not to share.

Important Limitation

Privacy settings cannot be changed after posting. If you need different visibility, you must delete the Moment and post a new one.

No Impact on Rewards

Your choice of privacy level doesn't affect coins or streak rewards — all Moments count equally regardless of audience.

Independence from Profile Settings

Privacy settings work independently from profile settings. Even if your profile is public, Close Friends and Private Moments maintain their restrictions. The system ensures your visibility choices are "simple, intentional, and respected" across all surfaces where Moments appear.
