Invite-style notifications
When a friend invites you directly, the notification card has an avatar, the plan title, and quick-action buttons that let you respond without opening the app fully:
- Plan together — instantly join (Public plans)
- Request — send a join request (Private plans)
- View — open the full plan detail
Managing notifications
If you're getting too many plan notifications, you can fine-tune them:
- Go to Profile → Settings → Notifications.
- Tap Plans.
- Toggle individual notification types on or off:
- Friend creates a plan
- Plan invites
- Plan join requests (organizer only)
- Plan reminders
- Plan chat messages
- Plan changes / cancellations
Tip — keep changes & cancellations on. Even if you mute everything else, leave Plan changes / cancellations on — it's the only way to know if a plan you're going to has been moved or cancelled at the last minute.
FAQs — Plan notifications
Q. I'm not getting plan notifications. Why?
A. Most likely either: (1) Currently doesn't have push notification permission — check your phone's Settings → Currently → Notifications, or (2) you've muted plan notifications in-app. Go to Profile → Settings → Notifications → Plans and check.
Q. Can I mute notifications for one specific plan?
A. Yes — open the plan, tap the menu, and tap Mute notifications. The plan stays joined, but you stop getting reminders and chat alerts.
Q. Why am I getting notifications about plans I don't care about?
A. Your Friend creates a plan notifications are on for everyone you follow. To narrow this down, turn it off and rely on the Plans tab to discover what your friends are up to instead.
Q. Will my phone vibrate or ding for plan notifications?
A. That depends on your phone's notification settings for Currently. To customize sound and vibration, go to your phone's Settings → Currently → Notifications.
