What's a ticketed event?

Beyond friend plans, Currently also surfaces public, ticketed events — comedy shows, concerts, festivals, conferences. These come from Allevents.in, our event partner. Examples: Anubhav Singh Bassi live, Kisi Ko Batana Mat, music festivals.

How to spot a ticketed event

• Big public attendee count — 102K+ people are going (no friend avatars)
• Book Now button instead of I'm in
• Powered by Allevents branding under the buttons
• Filter pill — appears under the Event tab on the Plans page

Booking a ticket

1. Tap an event card to open the detail view.
2. Read the full event description, see the venue, attendee count, and time.
3. Tap the Book Now button (full-width green).
4. You'll be taken to Allevents.in to complete the booking.
5. Choose seats, pay, get your ticket — same flow as any event ticketing site.
6. Once booked, your ticket lives on Allevents (or in your email).

Booking happens on Allevents. Currently shows you the event and connects you to the booking, but the actual ticket purchase is handled by Allevents. Their terms apply for refunds, cancellations, and customer support related to the booking.

What you can do without booking

Even without buying a ticket, you can:

• Save the event — see it in your saved list
• Get Directions — open Google Maps for the venue
• Share the event — send to friends via Insta, WhatsApp, etc.
• See the organizer + attendees — shows the event organizer card and a sample of who's going

Adding to your calendar

Tap Google cal or Apple cal to add the event to your calendar — even if you haven't booked yet. Useful for reminding yourself to book later.

FAQs — Ticketed events

Q. Where do my tickets go after I book?

A. Tickets are issued by Allevents, not Currently. They'll send an email confirmation, and you can see your tickets in your Allevents account at allevents.in.

Q. Can I get a refund through Currently?

A. No — refunds are handled by Allevents. Visit allevents.in/help or email their support.

Q. Why is the price not shown on the Currently event card?

A. Many events have multiple ticket tiers (general, VIP, group). The price is shown on Allevents after you tap Book Now, where you can pick the tier.

Q. Can I create a ticketed event on Currently?

A. Right now, ticketed events come from Allevents only. To list your event, register on allevents.in — it'll show up on Currently automatically once it goes live and matches a user's location.

Q. My friend booked the same event. Can we coordinate via Currently?

A. Currently doesn't auto-connect attendees of public events the way it does for plans. To coordinate, message your friend directly or create a separate plan for the event (e.g., "Anubhav Bassi show — meeting at 7") and invite each other to that plan.

Q. Will I get notifications about the event?

A. If you saved the event or added it to your calendar, you'll get reminders close to the date. For booking confirmations and event-day updates, watch for emails from Allevents.
