Community Guidelines and Rules

Updated

Allowed posts, why withdrawals get rejected, and what to follow.

Why guidelines matter

Currently is a real-time, real-people social app. Rules exist so the experience stays authentic — and so the reward system isn't gamed. Following guidelines means: better discovery, faster withdrawals, fewer rejections.

Open Community Guidelines

  1. From the Rewards screen, find the Rules label.
  2. Tap Rules & Guidelines of Earning Coins.
  3. The Community Guidelines screen opens.

Pick your language

At the top, a language picker: English / Hindi / Gujarati. Tap your preferred language and Submit. The guidelines display in that language. (Currently is built in India and supports multi-lingual reading.)

What you can post (Allowed Post — Do's)

Examples of moments that fit our guidelines and earn coins/streak:

  • Real-time moments — what you're doing right now (eating, working, traveling, etc.).
  • Photos/videos that include you or your environment — recognizable, relevant.
  • Genuine activities — at a real place, with real people.
  • Family-friendly content — broadly appropriate.
  • Original content — your own photos/videos, not recycled from elsewhere.
  • Authentic emotion — celebration, gratitude, fun, normal life.

What you can't post (Not Allowed Post — Don'ts)

Examples of content that gets rejected — and may trigger penalties:

  • Stock photos or memes — not original content.
  • Screenshots of other apps, websites — not real moments.
  • Adult or NSFW content — sexual, suggestive, or explicit.
  • Hate speech, harassment, bullying.
  • Violence, gore, or disturbing imagery.
  • Drugs, alcohol promoting addiction (responsible drinking is fine).
  • Spam — repeated similar posts, promotional content without disclosure.
  • Scams or financial promotions — gambling, MLM, pump-and-dumps.
  • Impersonation — pretending to be someone else.
  • Misleading or false information — claiming places you weren't at.

Guidelines are for everyone's safety. Guidelines aren't to limit fun — they're to keep Currently a place where people feel safe and connections feel real. Following them is the easiest path to fast approvals, smooth withdrawals, and an active feed.

How violations are handled

First-time minor violations get a warning. Repeat violations or serious ones lead to:

Violation severityConsequence
Minor (e.g., screenshot post)Moment removed. Streak unaffected. Warning issued.
Repeated (3+ moments removed in a week)Some coins frozen. Account flagged.
Spam / scammy / fake referralsWithdrawal rejection + Penalty (-200 to -500 coins).
Serious (hate, NSFW, harassment)Account temporarily or permanently suspended. All coins forfeited.
Account fraud (impersonation, multi-accounts)All coins forfeited, account banned, may pursue legal action.

Rule #5 — Profile Completeness

A specific rule called out in withdrawal rejections: Complete Rule #5 requirements by updating your profile to withdraw coins. This refers to:

  • Verified profile photo — clear, recognizable, your own face.
  • Bio filled in — at least one or two lines.
  • At least one social platform connected (WhatsApp, Insta, etc.).
  • Account active for X days (usually 7+) before first withdrawal.
  • Minimum {N} approved moments.

The Reset All Rules & Guidelines button on a cancelled withdrawal screen takes you to a checklist of what's missing.

Reporting other users for violations

  1. Open the moment or comment.
  2. Tap the three-dot menu → Report.
  3. Pick the reason category.
  4. Submit. Our team reviews and takes action.

Reports stay anonymous to the violator.

FAQs — Guidelines and Rules

Q. Can I post a moment if I'm not in the photo?

Yes — environment shots, food photos, scenery are fine. Currently encourages but doesn't require your face in every shot. The shot must be original (taken by you) and from a real moment in your life.

Q. My moment was rejected but I followed all rules. What now?

Sometimes the auto-review system makes mistakes. Contact support at support@currently.club with the moment timestamp/ID. We re-review manually.

Q. Why does Currently care about my profile photo for withdrawals?

Withdrawals = real money. The photo confirms you're a real person, the same person across signup and withdrawal. Without a verifiable photo, the system can't confirm identity, and withdrawals get rejected.

Q. If I delete a violating moment quickly, will it still affect my account?

Currently logs the moment from the moment it's posted. Even if you delete in seconds, the violation is recorded if the auto-system flagged it. Better not to post it in the first place.

Q. Can I use Currently for promoting my business?

Personal moments from your business (running your shop, attending events) are fine. Promotional content (ads, sales pitches, recruitment) is not allowed. To advertise on Currently, contact our business team.

Q. What if my moment is borderline — not clearly a violation?

Use your judgment. If you're unsure whether something fits, ask in our community Slack/Telegram, or err on the side of caution. The cost of one rejected moment is small; a flagged account is bigger.
