Parts of a comment
| Part | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Avatar + name | Who wrote the comment |
| Time + tags | How long ago, plus tags like Pinned or Author (the moment's poster) |
| Comment text | What they said — may include @mentions (highlighted blue), emoji, hashtags |
| Heart | React to the comment with a heart. The number next to it = total hearts. |
| Reply | Tap to reply directly to that comment. Your reply nests under it. |
| See N more replies ▼ | If a comment has many replies, tap to expand them. Tap Hide replies ▲ to collapse. |
Liking a comment
To react to a comment, just tap the heart next to it. The heart turns red and the count goes up. Tap again to unlike. Comments don't have emoji reactions — only hearts.
Pinned comments
What is a pinned comment? A Pinned tag means the moment's poster picked that comment to stay at the top, no matter how many other comments come in. It's usually the funniest, most useful, or most relevant one. Only the poster can pin a comment, and they can only pin one comment per moment.
Author tag
Replies from the moment's original poster show a small Author tag in green next to their name. This makes it easy to spot when the poster is replying to comments — useful in long threads.
FAQs — Reading comments
Q. How do I see replies to a specific comment?
A. Tap See N more replies ▼ under the comment. They'll expand below it. Tap Hide replies ▲ to collapse them again.
Q. Can I see who hearted a comment?
A. Not currently — Currently shows only the count of hearts, not the list. This is to keep comment threads focused on the conversation.
Q. What does the 'Author' tag mean?
A. It marks replies from the person who posted the original moment. Useful so you can quickly spot when the poster is replying.
Q. How do I find a specific comment?
A. There's no search inside comments. Scroll through the thread, or use Pinned comments at the top to find the most relevant ones the poster wants to highlight.
Q. Why are there so few hearts on a comment that I think is great?
A. Most viewers don't tap heart on comments — they just read. If you like a comment, give it a heart to help it move up in the thread.
