Reacting to a moment

Updated

Tap to like, long-press for emoji reactions, and see who reacted to what.

Quick like

  1. Tap the heart icon on a moment card to like it.
  2. The heart turns red and the count goes up by one.
  3. Tap it again to unlike.

Emoji reactions

If a like isn't enough, you can react with an emoji.

  1. Long-press (press and hold) the heart icon.
  2. A row of emoji reactions appears.
  3. Tap one to react with that emoji.
  4. Your reaction appears on the moment, and the user gets a notification.

One reaction at a time. You can either like a moment or react with an emoji — not both. If you've already liked something and you long-press to add an emoji, the like is replaced. To go back to a like, just tap the heart again.

See who reacted

  1. On a moment, tap the avatars at the bottom-left of the photo (the +3 cluster).
  2. A list opens up showing Tapped by 6 at the top, with three sub-tabs:
    • All — everyone who reacted, in any way
    • Likes — only people who liked
    • Emoji — only people who reacted with that specific emoji
  3. Tap any name to open their profile.

FAQs — Reactions

Q. Can I see who liked my moment?

A. Yes. Open your own moment, tap the avatars at the bottom-left of the photo, and you'll see everyone who reacted, sorted by reaction type.

Q. Will the person know if I liked or reacted to their moment?

A. Yes. They get a notification when you react. If you change your mind and tap to remove the reaction, the notification stays — but the reaction count updates.

Q. How do I undo a reaction?

A. Just tap the heart again. If you used an emoji reaction, long-press again and tap the same emoji to remove it.

Q. Why are there only 5 emoji reactions?

A. We picked five that cover most situations: hyped, hi/wave, no comment, sad, and sympathy. It keeps reactions meaningful and prevents emoji clutter.

Q. Can I react to my own moment?

A. No. The reaction bar is hidden on your own moments — you can see who reacted but you can't react to yourself.
