Follow alerts, Stalking mode, and how to send a quick message from the feed.
Three follow modes
After tapping Follow on someone's moment or profile, Currently asks how closely you want to follow them.
| Mode | What you get |
|---|---|
| Stalking | Get an instant alert as soon as they post a moment. Best for close friends or favorites. |
| Following | They appear in your feed, but no instant alerts on every post. |
| Unfollow | Removes them from your feed entirely. |
How to set follow mode
- Tap Follow on someone's profile or moment.
- A bottom sheet opens with: Get an instant alert as soon as @user posts an activity.
- Pick your mode: Stalking, Following, or Unfollow.
- Tap your choice — it's saved instantly.
Stalking is public-friendly. Don't worry — Stalking is just Currently's playful name for Get notifications for every post. The user sees that you follow them, but they don't see what mode you're in. It's between you and your notification settings.
Quick message from the feed
Want to message someone without leaving the feed? Use a quick message.
- On someone's moment, tap the
Message @usernamebar at the bottom (looks like a small text input). - A message screen opens — Where you at, Mehul? with quick reply options like
So Peaceful,Nice play,Peaceful place. - Tap a quick reply or type your own.
- Tap Send message → to send.
Mini Profile
Tap a user's profile picture or name on a moment to see their Mini Profile — a quick preview with:
- Profile picture and name
- Moments / Followers / Followings count (e.g., 500 / 5000 / 250)
- Bio and connected platforms (WhatsApp, Instagram, etc.)
- Follow button and Message button

Q. Will someone know if I'm Stalking them?
A. They'll see you follow them (it appears on their followers list) but they don't see whether you're in Stalking, Following, or any other mode. That's private to you.
Q. Can I follow someone without getting notifications?
A. Yes — pick Following instead of Stalking. You'll see their moments in your feed but won't get instant alerts.
Q. Quick replies are weird. Can I turn them off?
A. They're just suggestions to make replying faster — you can always type your own. There isn't a way to turn the suggestions off right now.
Q. How is a 'Quick message' different from a regular message?
A. Functionally, it's the same — both go to the same chat thread. Quick message is just a faster way to start a conversation from a moment without opening the full chat.
Q. Can I message someone who doesn't follow me?
A. Usually yes, but it depends on their Allow comments from / messages from settings. If they've restricted messages to followers only, your message will be held for them to approve.
