What 'Tag your squad' does

Tagging people in your moment:

• Adds their avatars at the bottom of your moment in the feed
• Notifies them so they know they're in the post
• Adds the moment to their tagged moments on their profile (depending on their settings)
• Lets viewers tap their avatar to open their profile

Open the people tagger

1. On the composer, find the Tag your squad chip near the caption.
2. Tap it. The Tag people screen opens.

Three groups of suggestions

1. At {Place} — Now

If you've tagged a place, Currently shows people who are at that place right now:

AT STARBUCKS, AHMEDABAD • NOW. Harshil Bhakhar — @harshad_2907 • Now. Multiple friends with the same status.

Tap any avatar to tag them — a green ✓ check appears.

2. Recently tagged

Friends you've tagged in recent moments. The label shows: Recently tagged • {N}. Quick way to re-tag the same crew.

3. All

Your full follower list. Scroll or use the Find your People search.

Multi-select

Tap multiple people to select them all. Each gets a green check. The Done button at the top changes to show the count: Done • 3.

What the count means. Done • -3 means you have 3 people pending de-tag (you tapped to remove them but haven't confirmed yet). Done • 3 means 3 people pending tag. Tap Done to apply.

Searching for someone

Type a name in the Find your People search bar. The list filters as you type. Tap the right one to select.

Removing a tag

On the composer, tagged people appear as small avatar chips next to Tag your squad. Tap the X on a chip to remove that tag.

Or open the Tag people screen, tap the green-checked person again to uncheck them, and tap Done.

FAQs — Tagging people

Q. Why doesn't my friend show in the suggestions?

A. Suggestions are based on At {place} (only friends actively at the place right now), Recently tagged (people you've tagged in past moments), and your full follower list. If they're not following you or you're not following them, they may not appear. Use the search bar to find them by name.

Q. Will the person I tag get a notification?

A. Yes — they get a push notification: "{You} tagged you in a moment." They can tap it to open the moment.

Q. Can someone untag themselves from my moment?

A. Yes — they can open the moment, tap their own avatar in the tags row, and remove themselves. Currently doesn't notify you when they untag.

Q. How many people can I tag?

A. Up to 20 people per moment. Beyond that, tags are capped to keep the moment readable.

Q. Can I tag someone who doesn't follow me?

A. Yes — anyone on Currently can be tagged. They'll get the notification, but their privacy settings determine if your moment appears on their profile's tagged list.

Q. Why does the tagged person's avatar appear blurred?

A. If the tagged person has their account set to private (and you don't follow them), Currently may blur their avatar to protect their privacy.
