You can modify most profile details in the Currently app at any time, with one important exception: your mobile number cannot be changed once your account is created.
Editable Profile Elements
The platform allows you to update:
- Name
- Profile photo
- Bio or description
- Profile visibility settings
- Close friends list
- Map visibility preferences
Your profile photo should be a genuine image representing you rather than a brand or stock photo.
How to Make Changes
The process is straightforward:
- Open the Currently app
- Navigate to your Profile section
- Select Edit Profile
- Make your desired modifications
- Tap Save
Your changes take effect immediately across the platform.
Privacy Controls
You have full control over who sees your profile. Choose between a public profile (viewable by anyone) or a private profile (visible only to approved followers). This setting determines visibility of both your profile and your Moments.
What Cannot Be Modified
Three elements remain permanent for security and fairness reasons:
- Your mobile number
- Account creation date
- Any earned badges or coins
Troubleshooting
If your edits fail to save, check your internet connection, restart the app, and try again. Persistent issues warrant contacting the support team.
