First time you open the map
The Map view introduces itself with a one-screen prompt:
Introduction to plans around you. Check out nearby plans and be part of the fun.
Tap to dismiss, and the map view loads.
How to open the Live Map
- Tap the Map icon (location pin) in the bottom navigation.
- Or tap the location pin icon on a plan card to jump to its position on the map.
What you see on the map
- Friend pins — circular avatar pins showing where friends are right now.
- Plan pins — red dots or colored pins for plans happening at that location.
- Event pins — different icon (often a star or event icon) for ticketed events.
- You — your own pin in the center, usually with a green halo.
Tapping a plan pin
When you tap a pin associated with a plan, a card pops up over the map:
Vipin will be Watching - Movie. Friday 27 Mar 9:00 PM • PVR Promenade Nagar • Multi-storey. Tap Plan Is to open the full plan detail.
Tap Plan Is (or anywhere on the card) to open the full plan detail screen.
Filtering the map
Use the search bar at the top of the map to find specific places. The map auto-updates pin density based on the area you're viewing.
Zoom and discover. Pinch-zoom out to see plans across your city. Pinch-zoom in to focus on your neighbourhood. The map updates pins in real time as plans get created or filled.

Q. Why doesn't the map show my friends?
A. Friends only appear on the map if they have location sharing on. If your friend isn't visible, they may have it off. You can ask them to enable it from Profile → Privacy & Safety → Live Location.
Q. Are my plans visible on the map to everyone?
A. Public plans — yes, everyone in your area can see them. Private plans — no, only you and people you've invited.
Q. Can I see plans in another city?
A. Yes — pan and zoom the map anywhere. You can also change your set city in Profile → Edit Profile to default to a different one.
Q. How accurate is the location?
A. Pin location is based on the address you set when creating the plan. It's exact for businesses (cafes, cinemas) and approximate for general areas (parks, residential).
Q. Can I plan something directly from the map?
A. Tap the + button on the map to create a new plan with the tapped location pre-filled. Saves you a step.
