Plans and Events

Browsing the Plans tab

Updated

How the tab is laid out — pinned invites, filter pills, and the create-your-plan card.

Open the Plans tab

  1. From the home feed, tap Plans in the top tab row.
  2. Or tap the Plans icon in the bottom navigation bar.
  3. The Plans feed loads — a list of plans and events you can join.

What you see at the top

1. The Create your plan card

On the left, a tile with a green + and the label Create your plan. Tap it to start making your own.

2. The latest invite

Right next to the Create card: if a friend just invited you to their plan, you'll see it pinned here. For example: "Vipin is inviting to Dhurandhar 2 — Today • 10 PM | Garden Garden City" with an avatar count and a Plan together button to jump straight in.

3. Filter pills

Two rows of filter pills:

  • Event / Plans — toggle between ticketed events and friend plans
  • All / Friends / Near by — narrow down by who's involved or how far away the plan is

The plan cards

Each plan card shows:

  • Header tagVipin is inviting / watching - movie (organizer + activity)
  • TitleDhurandhar 2, Lets play Cricket at Bain & Bridge Cricket Court, etc.
  • Banner image — usually the movie poster or place photo
  • Joined avatars + count03/05 - Joining (3 of 5 max joined)
  • Time + locationFri, 27 Mar • 9:00 AM | Disa Club, Maninagar
  • Distance2km — how far the plan is from you

Empty states

If there's nothing to show, you'll see one of these:

  • No Plans Yet — Be the first to create one — your friends haven't made any plans, and there's nothing public near you. Tap Create your plan to start one.
  • Location access required — you haven't given Currently location permission, so we can't show plans near you. Tap Allow to enable.

FAQs — Browsing plans

Q. Why is my Plans tab empty?

A. It usually means one of three things: (1) your friends haven't made any plans yet, (2) you haven't given Currently location access (so we can't show nearby plans), or (3) you're looking at the Friends filter and none of your followed users are planning anything. Try the All filter or Near by filter.

Q. What does 'Near by' actually mean?

A. Plans within a few kilometres of your current location. The exact distance can change based on how busy your area is — in dense cities it's tighter, in smaller towns it's wider.

Q. Why don't I see ticketed events from other cities?

A. By default, Currently shows events near your set city. To see events elsewhere, change your city in Profile → Edit Profile → City, or the Map view lets you scroll around and see what's happening anywhere.

Q. Can I follow only a specific friend's plans?

A. Yes — turn on Stalking mode for that friend (see the Home Feed help). You'll get an alert any time they create a plan or post a moment.
