What coins are, the conversion rate, and where to find your balance.
What are Currently Coins?
Currently Coins are the in-app currency you earn by being active on Currently — inviting friends, posting moments, completing tasks, hitting milestones. You can spend coins on real products in the Store, redeem them as Gift Cards (JBL, PVR, Domino's), or withdraw them as real money to your bank or UPI account.
The conversion rate
10 COINS = ₹1 RUPEE. This is the official conversion rate. Whenever you withdraw coins to real money, this is the rate that's applied. So 800 coins = ₹80, 1000 coins = ₹100, 5000 coins = ₹500.
Where to find your balance
Your coin balance shows up in three places:
- Top of every screen — small coin counter in the top-right of the home feed.
- Profile screen — coin balance shown next to your streak chip.
- Rewards screen — the most detailed view, showing streak + balance + breakdown.
Open the Rewards screen
- From the home feed, tap the coin counter in the top-right.
- The Rewards screen opens, defaulting to the Invite tab.
- At the very top:
{N} Days Streak+{N} Coin Balance.

FAQs — Currently Coins
Q. Are Currently Coins the same as money?
Coins represent value, but they're not legal currency. They have a fixed conversion rate (10 coins = ₹1) so they can be exchanged for real rupees through Currently's withdrawal flow. Until withdrawn, they live inside the app.
Q. Do my coins ever expire?
No — coins don't expire. Once earned, they're yours until you spend, withdraw, or lose them via penalty. Inactive accounts don't lose coins.
Q. Can someone else use my coins if they get into my account?
Yes — coins live with the account. Protect your account credentials. We recommend turning on Face Verification for withdrawals, which adds an extra check before money goes out.
Q. Why is my coin balance different from what I expected?
Check the Wallet to see every credit, debit, and pending coin. The history shows exactly what happened — earned, spent, refunded, or deducted as a penalty.
Q. Can Currently change the conversion rate?
The 10:1 conversion rate is locked into Currently's terms. We don't change it without notice. If we ever did need to update, existing coins would honor the original rate.
