Four tabs at the top of your feed. Here's what each one shows.
The four tabs
When you open Currently, you land on your home feed. At the top, four tabs let you see different kinds of content:
| Tab | What you see |
|---|---|
| For you | A personalized feed of moments from people you follow and people Currently thinks you'll like. This is the default tab. |
| Friends | Only moments from people you follow. No suggestions, no strangers. |
| Plans | Upcoming events and activities your friends and nearby users are planning. |
| Places | Moments and check-ins from places near you — restaurants, cafes, venues, hangout spots. |
How to switch tabs
- Tap any tab name at the top of the screen.
- The tab you're on shows a green underline.
- Each tab remembers where you were, so switching back returns you to the same spot.
The top-right icons
- Coin icon (gold) — opens your coin wallet and rewards.
- Bell icon — opens your notifications.
- Profile picture — opens your profile.
The bottom navigation
- Home (green button) — your feed (where you are now).
- Map — Live Map showing friends near you.
- Plans — your scheduled and upcoming activities.
- Places — places you've visited or want to visit.
- + (Post) — create a new moment.
FAQs — Home feed
Q. Why don't I see anything in my Friends tab?
A. Your Friends tab only shows moments from people you follow. If you haven't followed anyone yet, this tab will be empty. Go to Profile → Find Friends or tap on usernames in the For you tab to start following people.
Q. Can I change which tab opens by default?
A. Right now, Currently always opens to For you. We may add a setting for this in the future.
Q. My feed is showing the same posts again. Why?
A. Pull the feed downward to refresh — new moments will load. If you're seeing repeats often, it might mean people in your network haven't posted anything new yet today.
Q. How does the For you tab decide what to show me?
A. It mixes moments from people you follow with suggestions based on your interests, location, and activity. The more you use Currently, the better it gets.
